Chasing fresh powder across the wild peaks of Armenia

Armenia isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you think of world-class skiing, but for those willing to look closer, it offers some of the most reward mountain experiences in the Caucasus.

Last winter, we spent two weeks touring the Aragats and Geghama ranges. The snow was deep, the peaks were empty, and the hospitality was legendary.

Why Armenia?

  • Untapped Potential: No crowds, just vast expanses of wild terrain.
  • Variable Terrain: From steep volcanic cones to wide-open glacial bowls.
  • Cultural Depth: Every village has a story, and every meal is a feast.

The beauty of these mountains isn’t just in the vertical drop, but in the silence that greets you at the top of every line.
